Build Updates: Whooaaaa, We're Almost There!

Hey Backers!
We've got some updates for you on the progress of Flap Happy. While we’re experiencing a slight delay, we're happy to report that we’re on our way to delivering an egg-cellent game! Here’s what’s been happening:
Golden Egg-celence!
We've been tweaking and fine-tuning the Gameboy and Gameboy Color builds this month, aiming for that golden egg-celence form—one step before final build confirmation. Thanks to the fine folks at Mega Cat Studios for their feedback through playtesting, we've managed to squash the remaining bugs.
NES Version: Almost There!
The NES version is also now in the final stages of review and feedback. It's taken longer than expected, but we’re almost there. Who knew that the last 1% of retro game development could take as long as the prior 99%? Project blindness, where you just miss things after playing the game a certain way, has proven to be a tough challenge. This last stage of external playtesting has been invaluable.
The Home Stretch
Thanks to all the feedback and playtesting, the final builds are nearly ready to hatch. We’re incredibly grateful for your patience and support during this process. We'll have updates soon regarding fulfilment timelines so stay tuned!
Kickstarter Update: A Slight Delay but We're Almost There!

Hey Backers!
We wanted to give you an update on the progress of Flap Happy and, unfortunately, let you know that we are experiencing a slight delay. We now anticipate fulfilling orders by the end of July. Here’s a bit of what’s been happening behind the scenes:
Technical Turmoil in April
In April, my development machine decided to take a break—permanently. This unexpected turn of events meant I had limited access to the game code for an entire month. Thankfully, my local PC support company swooped in and worked their magic to get things back up and running. But this hiccup did slow us down a bit.
Gameboy and NES Ports Progress
Despite these challenges, both the Gameboy and NES ports are making great strides. Here’s where we stand:
Gameboy Port
The Gameboy version of Flap Happy is pretty much feature complete. I'm working on the last few bits and will be playtesting extensively over the next couple of days to ensure everything is running smoothly.
NES Version
The NES version is in a similar state of completion, with just a few different elements needing to be wrapped up. We're very close to having the code ready for both versions!
Looking Ahead
While we're moving forward and getting closer to the finish line, there's still the matter of cartridge production. I'm not entirely sure how long this will take, but it might add a couple of weeks to our timeline.
Our Apologies and Gratitude
We sincerely apologize for this (hopefully slight) delay. The timing of these issues was unexpected and quite nerve-wracking. Your patience and understanding mean the world to us as we navigate these last few steps toward bringing Flap Happy to life.
